Dancing Out Of The Dark, The George Velasquez Story

Production has begun on the true life documentery of George Velasquez. His moto;

"Live Life to the fullest, tell family and friends how much you love them, then dance the night away!"

It's been 17 years since George was run down in Norcross Georgia in a hit and run accident. It was Aug 1st 1994 after he and his students return home from a Las Vegas dance competition. A black truck with a white roof hit him so hard and fast, it severed the bottom of his left leg right off and took it with it!

The local police never solved the case. Aetna drop his medical insurance. Was it because he is a Puerto Ricen from New York City and wees were in the SOUTH?

We now try and solve the mystery of that life changing night. And tell the story of one of the most incredible people on earth. How he defyed all the odds and made his way back to the dance floor. And today continues to dance, teach, judge and work with other amputees with his "Seven Golden Rules"
